| It's Prom Time! |
You've put all of your energy into making Spirit Week and Homecoming awesome. Now that it's over, you can start dreaming of Prom. Finding a Theme should be your first order of business, since most everything will match.
Now is also a great time to touch base with your photographer. You want to make sure they have you on their calendar so you can get as many cameras as you need. |

| How to Not Drink and Drive on Prom Night |
Make a pledge not to drink on prom night. Talk with your friends in advance about your plans. Make sure your parents know the agenda.
Plan what you're going to say and do if someone offers you alcohol or drugs.
Rent a limo to bring you and your friends around. This is a sure-fire way to keep everyone safe. The driver will keep things under control. If you all chip in, it will be affordable. OR you can hire an older sibling, friend or parent to drive you to and from the prom.
Keep an eye on the driver to make sure he doesn't drink. Drinking alcohol slows response time and impairs judgement.

| TRUTH: |
According to the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, on a typical prom weekend:
- 48 American teenagers are killed in vehicles
- 5,202 are injured
- 40% of the deaths are alcohol-related
- 70% of teens killed on prom weekends are not wearing seat belts.
Prom night should be a fun and positive memory. Prom is something you've been looking forward to all your high school career.
You're supposed to dance the night away with your friends.
It should not go down in history as the night you lost your license. Or, even worse, as the night you lost one of your best friends.
Make a pledge not to drink on prom night. Talk with your friends in advance about your plans. Make sure your parents know the agenda.
Plan what you're going to say and do if someone offers you alcohol or drugs.

| Creative way to ask a girl to the Prom |
Creative Ways to Ask a Girl to Prom
If you're looking for creative ways to ask a girl to prom, you've come to the right place. We've definitely got more than a few ways to help you capture that special girl's attention and inspire her to say, "Yes!"
Your Mission: Stand Out from the Pack
So, prom is on the horizon and you've decided which girl you want to ask to be your date. Of course, you can go with the time honored standard, "Do you want to go to the prom with me?" It's definitely to the point, but not very imaginative.
What you really want to do is capture your dream date's attention in a way that makes you stand out from the other guys who may also try to ask her to prom. After all, prom only comes along once or twice in a girl's life, and she's going to choose the date she thinks she'll have the best time with. Your "ask" is either going to put you in the running or cut you from the pack, so you want to give it your best shot.
Creative Ways to Ask a Girl to Prom
There's a fine line between creative and just plain goofy. Bottom line, don't do anything your potential date would find embarrassing, or you're going to sink yourself from the get-go.
Place a Personal Ad
A well written personal ad to the dance can get you straight into a girl's heart, but there is a catch: just use first names. Here's an example:
"Celia, I'd love it if you would be my date for the prom. Say yes, and make my dreams come true~ Jay".
An invite like this would make any girl feel special, but leaving out the last names gives you both room to play it off and avoid ridicule from your classmates if it doesn't work out. If it does work, she has a very special memento she can place in her scrapbook.
Don't leave fate to chance and hope that she'll read the paper and realize the ad is meant for her. Deliver the paper personally when her friends aren't around, and make sure you look your best when you do.
The Windshield Approach
If you're not afraid to put your heart on public display, try writing your invitation on your car's rear windshield with white shoe polish. How about, "Julie, you make my heart race. Will you be my date for prom?" Offer to give her a ride home from school, but ask her to bring her book bag around to the trunk so she sees your clever invitation. If she doesn't immediately decide to take the bus instead, mission accomplished!
Say it with Chocolate
Buy one of those big Hershey's Kisses, and print your invite on a strip of paper inserted into the foil at the top. Place it on the walk in her front yard and ring the doorbell. Point to her strategically placed package and ask her to open it. Your message should be something like, "Karen, I'd kiss the ground you walk on if you'd go with me to prom~ David".
Stuffed Animals
Tuck a note into an adorable stuffed animal. For example:
* Give her a rabbit with the a note that says, "Jenny, Nobunny else will do. Will you go to the prom with me?~ Mike".
* How about a Teddy bear with a note that says, "I couldn't bear it if you went to prom with anyone else~ Joe".
* Try giving her a cute yellow stuffed chick with a note that says, "Carrie, I've always thought you were eggstra special. Will you be my prom date?~ Jack".
* She'll find it hard to resist a cuddly lamb and a note that says, "Will ewe go to the prom with me?"
The Remote Approach
If your potential date has a great sense of humor, you can really grab her attention with this one. Write you thoughts on a card, seal it in an envelope with her name clearly written on it and tape it to the top of a remote control car. Get to school early when she's hanging out at her locker, and try to stay back out of direct view. Send the car over to her, and watch her open your card. You can write something clever like, "Is there a remote chance you'll go to the prom with me?~ David".
Final Tips
So, now that you have a number of creative ways to ask a girl to prom, it's time for some final tips to help you seal the deal.
* Don't ask at the last minute. It takes time to shop for a dress and shoes. This is one of those lifetime moments for a girl, so give her time to fully savor the ritual.
* In most cases, it might be better to ask a girl in private, unless you're reasonably sure she's interested in you.
* However you decide to ask her, make sure the method you choose is comfortable to you. If you feel awkward, she's going to pick up on it right away. A girl likes a guy with some confidence
* On the other end of the spectrum, don't act overly confident. No girl wants to feel like you believe she's a sure thing. Be just a little bit humble and she's bound to take you more seriously.. |

| After Prom Ideas |
After Prom Ideas
Teens are always looking for new and fresh after prom ideas. Whether you're planning the school's after prom party or you're looking for something to do after the big dance, a little creativity is all you need to come up with some great ideas for after the prom.
After Prom Ideas that are Better than the Prom!
Whether your after prom party is sponsored by an organization like SADD or MADD, the PTA or whether it's given by a student committee, with a little creativity, you can make sure that everyone is talking about your after prom activities. Here are a few after prom ideas that will be the talk of the school for at least a few years:
The Carnival Is in Town
You can actually rent carnival rides and attractions. For a list of vendors in your area, see Canival Amusements. The sky is the limit, but some favorites that you can rent and set up on your school grounds are bumper cars, huge inflatable slides, and defying rides.
Catch the Bungee craze
There are actually more than a few bungee activities you can rent. There's the bungee run in which you run as far as you can to get snapped back towards and inflatable wall. There's also the Eurobungee, in which you get into a harness and jump on a trampoline. You are able to jump so high that you actually feel weightlessness.
Drive In Movie?
How about setting up a giant screen and showing the latest movies in the school parking lot? Make sure that your drive in experience is complete with refreshments.
After Prom Cruise
If you live near water, an after prom cruise might be just the way to go. You can rent the boat for an alcohol free party that includes dancing and hanging out until the wee hours of the morning. Then go out to breakfast!
After Prom Party Themes
You can also plan an after prom party to go along with your theme. Many schools are starting to plan the whole thing: the dinner, the prom and then the after prom party. Keep reading for some really creative ideas on making the evening mesh together seamlessly.
Under the Sea
Did you know that most aquariums will rent out their space? Consider renting your local aquarium for an all nighter. (Check to make sure that they allow food and other planned activities.)
I Survived a Japanese Game Show
If your theme has anything to do with the land of the rising sun, think about renting giant inflatable obstacle courses. You can also get these sumo wrestling costumes for some unique entertainment.
A City Themed Prom Trip
Many schools throw proms that resemble some of the most famous cities in the world: Paris, New York, New Orleans, Las Vegas. . . Whatever your city theme is, consider sponsoring a senior trip after the prom. Participants sign up in advance, and then are surprised with a bus trip to a nearby city. Top the evening off with bowling, skating or other fun activities, then go out to breakfast in the morning.
After Prom Party Idea Sites
There are many sites to help you plan your after prom. Everything from rental ideas, to ideas on what to do, checking on one of these sites will give you a big list to consider.
The All Nighter
The All Nighter is a site produced by SADD--students against drunk driving. It has a slew of activities and ideas written by teens, for teens.
The Event Line
The Even Line rents various equipment to proms and after proms. Mechanical surf boards, a casino, or even inflatable obstacle courses--it's all right here.
After Prom.org
After Prom.org is a site written by a mom for other parents who are concerned about the welfare of their children. The site has some great ideas for organizing a "substance free" event.
Planning an After Prom Party
After proms can help keep kids safe and give them an alternative to drinking the night of the prom. Providing a safe and fun outlet lets teens stay up all night, have a great time, but keeps them safe as well. |

| Prom Songs |
Prom Songs
Prom songs are part of what makes prom an important part of the teenage prom experience. Some people think of a prom song as the 'theme' of the prom event, while others just think of it as one of the many songs played at prom. If you're interested in finding out some popular prom songs of the past and some places that you can locate popular prom songs of the present, keep reading.
Prom Songs
There are two types of songs played at most proms: the fast songs and the slow songs. While the fast songs are most of what is played at prom, nobody really worries about them. The big concern is always the slow songs.
Slow Songs
Some popular slow prom songs of past years that are sure to be popular for years to come:
* "Here's to The Night" by Eve 6
* "You and Me" by Lifehouse
* "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down
* "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden
* "I Will Remember You" by Sarah McLachlan
* "Amazed" by Lonestar
* "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain
* "Save Tonight" by Eagle Eye Cherry
* "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green
* "At Last" by Etta James
* "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" by Green Day
* "Nothing Is Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship
* "Hard To Say Goodbye" by Boys to Men
* "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton
* "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith
* "Barely Breathing" by Duncan Sheik
* "Crash Into Me" by Dave Matthews Band
* "Closing Time" by Semisonic
* "Pictures of You" by the Cure
* "Wish You Were Here" by Incubus
Fast Songs
An idea that many prom committees capitalize on is the idea that the 'big' song of the night shouldn't be a slow song, but instead a fast one. By doing so, the night seems more like a celebration. The song is normally a song that most of the class knows and when the song is played it becomes a giant class sing-along. Of course, this is not for every prom or class.
Some fast songs that have been used for this are:
* "When I Come Around" and "Basketcase" by Green Day
* "Yeah!" by Usher
* "What's My Age Again" by Blink-182
* "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies
* "Inside Out" by Eve 6
* "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus
* "Never Let You Go" by Third Eye Blind
* "I Wanna Be Sedated" by the Ramones
* "Every Morning" by Sugar Ray
* "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana
* "No Rain" by Blind Melon
* "My Own Worst Enemy" by L.I.T.
Where To Find Songs For Prom
Maybe none of the listed prom songs will work for your particular prom. Maybe no one in your class has a great suggestion either. Where do you look from there?
More places to find prom songs:
* Ask the the teachers: Many teachers have had to chaperone prom before and can sometimes remember songs that have been played in past years. They might even have a few ideas of their own that you may not have thought of. Teachers of interest to ask would be whomever is in charge of the yearbook and teachers who have been working at the school for a long time.
* DJ's: More likely than not, your prom will have a DJ
. But that shouldn't stop you from asking other DJ's for their ideas. Especially if they've worked a prom before, local DJ's have a good idea of the flavor in an area and always have a song in mind.
* Music Charts: If you're looking for a hip song to play at prom, a great place to look is through the lists of popular songs over the years. You can find historical lists of popular songs at Billboard.com. This idea works great if you're having a themed prom for a particular decade (such as the 50's or 60's) and want to keep with that idea for your big prom song.
Important Note
Whatever song or songs are played at prom, it's likely that someone will remember it. Putting a good amount of thought into the song prior to the prom increases the chances that someone will remember the song in a positive manner. |

| Prom Tips For Guys |
Prom Tips for Guys
Prom can be a great experience, and these prom tips for guys can make it a fun and stress-free night that will be remembered long past high school.
The Importance of Prom
Prom is a once-in-a-lifetime event and is often the first formal dinner dance teenagers attend. Unfortunately, most of the prom advice out there is about choosing the best hairstyle, prom dress, and makeup for the big night – not exactly tips for guys. Yet prom can be a romantic night for a gentleman to spend with his special lady, and knowing how to plan for the prom, get ready for the big date, and how to wrap up the evening as a gentleman can help guys approach prom with confidence.
Easy Prom Tips for Guys
There are many things guys need to do to ensure prom is a fun, memorable event.
Before the Prom
Long before prom guys need to start planning, and these tips can help.
* Start saving money months before the prom. Tuxedo rentals, transportation, dining, prom tickets, flowers, pictures, and other necessities can add up quickly, and a well-prepared guy will have a decent budget to work with.
* Buy prom tickets early. Many schools limit the number of tickets sold and tickets may not be available at the last minute. If plans fall through and you can’t attend, you can always sell the tickets to less prepared guys who didn’t think ahead.
* Ask your date to accompany you to the prom at least a month in advance. Even if you have a steady girlfriend, be a gentleman and ask for her company that evening to show how special you hope the event will be.
* If you are renting a prom tuxedo, shop early for the best deals and widest selection of styles. To make sure you coordinate with your date, ask her opinion on basic styles or colors, but feel free to experiment a little to add your own style and flair to your prom attire.
* When you rent the tuxedo, be sure it is sized correctly for a proper fit, and ask questions about any accessories you aren’t sure how to use.
* If you will be attending prom with a group of friends, consider coordinating all your tuxedos for a sleek, fashionable look.
* If you will be renting transportation such as a limousine, consider pooling your resources with other couples to make it more affordable, and shop early for a reservation.
Wrist corsages are popular.
* If you’re nervous about dancing at the prom, arrange for beginner’s dance lessons a few weeks before the event. These can also be a fun date with your prom partner and will let both of you polish your moves to shine on the dance floor.
* Make dinner reservations at least two weeks in advance if the prom tickets do not include a catered dinner. Choose a restaurant you and your date can comfortably enjoy – be sure to ask about any allergies or preferences she may have.
* Two weeks before the prom, ask your date about the color of her dress so you can coordinate a matching corsage. If she wants to keep her dress a surprise, choose a corsage in white or with the school colors to be safe. Order the corsage as soon as you know the colors.
* Get a new haircut or trim a week before the prom. Now is not the time to experiment with radically new styles, but a neat haircut will look dashing on prom night.
On That Special Night
On the day of the prom, it isn’t only girls who need time to look their best. Prom tips for guys on that important day include:
* If you aren’t renting a car or limo, be sure the car you will use is clean and gassed up before picking up your date.
* Attend to your personal hygiene carefully, including a shower, close shave, trimmed and cleaned fingernails, and other details to be well groomed for the evening. If you use aftershave or cologne, take care not to apply too much.
* Be prompt to pick up your date and greet her parents politely. Be prepared to answer questions about your plans for the evening, and be sure to ask about the evening’s curfew so you can have your date home on time.
* Be polite to your date at all times. Prom is a great opportunity to be a gentleman: open doors for her, pull out her chair, and offer her your coat if it is chilly.
* Compliment your date multiple times throughout the evening. Young women will take great care to be stunning on prom night, and if you notice those details you can really show her you care about her.
* If you attend prom with a group of friends, it’s fine to dance with other girls once or twice, but be sure to pay the most attention to your date and don’t spend the evening hanging out with other guys instead.
* If you attend an after prom party, be responsible. Avoid alcohol, continue to be a gentleman, and be sure you have your date home before the required parental curfew.
* Always thank your date for a lovely evening and her wonderful companionship when you kiss her good night!
After the Party
After the prom, guys can still be gentlemen by letting their dates know later that week how great a time they had. If you have pictures from the prom, share copies with your date so she can enjoy the memories too. Other after prom tips include:
* Return all rented items promptly to avoid late fees.
* Submit prom pictures to the yearbook if requested.
* Follow up with your prom date to let her know she’s special to you all the time, not just on one night.
With careful planning and the right prom tips for guys, even a guy who has never been to a formal event can enjoy prom with confidence and style.

Text Message Symbols
When you're typing with your thumbs, you need to save your effort by communicating with as few letters as possible, so text message symbols were created as shorthand for many users.
Common Text Message Symbols
There are a few different ways the unique language of text messaging is created. Some text message symbols abbreviate words by leaving out vowels or replacing several letters with a single letter that has the same sound. Others are acronyms, replacing an entire sentence with the first letter of each word. This list presents some of the most commonly used abbreviations and acronyms.

Text Message Cautions
Sending text messages can be a fun and convenient way to stay in touch with your friends, flirt with a potential boyfriend or girlfriend, and keep up on the latest gossip. However, you should keep the following suggestions in mind:
* There's a time and a place for text message symbols. Make sure a "B4" or "UR" doesn't slip into your English composition or job application.
* Know when to stop texting. You should keep your cell phone in your pocket at the dinner table and resist texting your friend your thoughts on your date while you sit next to him in the movie theater.
* Enjoy the moment by being in the moment. You can get so caught up in thinking, "I have to tell ______ about this!" that you don't actually enjoy the good things right in front of you.
* Give your thumbs a rest. Repetitive motions with your wrists, hands, and fingers can lead to muscle strain and pain. If excessive texting makes your hands hurt, or your thumbs go numb, take a break. Your friends will still be there to receive your messages tomorrow.
* Beware of multi-tasking. Be careful not to take your attention away from more important things, whether studying for a test or watching your little sister. You should especially never send or read text messages while driving.
* Don't be surprised by the bill at the end of the month. Know how much each text message costs and if there are any limits. You can avoid fights with your parents if they never open a shocking cell phone bill. Even if you pay for your own cell phone, do you really want to spend all your hard-earned money from babysitting or bagging groceries on text messages? |

| High School Graduation Invitations |
High School Graduation Invitations
High school graduation invitations let you announce to friends and family one of the most important occasions in your life. From traditional to modern, there are hundreds of invitation styles to choose from that reflect your individual personality and style.
Selecting High School Graduation Invitations
There are three basic types of invitations that you may want to purchase for this event:
* Invitation – this is used to invite people to the graduation ceremony.
* Announcement - this is sent to people who may or may not be able to attend your ceremony. It is often sent as a memento for those who cannot attend.
* Party invitation - for those throwing a party after the ceremony.
Of course, you may select one invitation style that includes all of the information on it, from the ceremony to the bash afterwards.
Where to Buy Graduation Invitations
High school graduation invitations may be purchased in a variety of places. Many high schools will sell basic invitations through their business office. Other schools may take orders for them when they are selling class rings (like Jostens). These on-site sales are usually advertised well in advance of graduation.
Other places to buy invitations include the following:
* Local stationery stores
* Retail stores
* Craft stores
* Hallmark stores
* Online stationery stores
Online Graduation Invitation Stores
For those that like to do their shopping with the click of a mouse, online stationery stores may fit the bill. Shoppers will find the widest selection when they shop online. Some online stores offer the option of uploading photos to include on the invitation (such as a senior photo) and they may even send the invitations out for you.
Some popular online graduation invitation websites include:
* Graduation Card Shop – has a wide variety of invitations that can include photos, logos, school colors, school mascots and banners.
* Jostens – not only a purveyor of a popular line of high school rings, but they also sell classic-looking graduation announcements and invitations.
* Invitations 4 Less – the place to find invitations, announcements and thank-you notes for individuals on a budget.
* Graduation Announcements Store – offers a wide variety of invitations to suit any taste. They also offer an eProof service so you won't have to wait for an invitation proof to come through snail mail.

* Announcing It – if you're looking for unique invitations, then check out this website. The invitations they offer are colorful and many even sport neon logos.
* Polka Dot Design – features modern and classic designs that are sure to please. The invitations are budget-friendly too!
* Dependable Printing – the name says it all. This business offers dozens of unique and beautiful invitation designs as well as a wide variety of graduation accessories for your special day.
Invitation Etiquette
Graduation is a big event in anyone's life, so it is worth doing well. Whether your invitations are very simple or elaborate is up to you. However, it is important to make sure all of the important information is included with invitations, especially for those who may be traveling a great distance to witness the ceremony.
Invitations should include the following information:
* Name of the person graduating
* Name and address of the high school
* The date of the ceremony
* The time of the ceremony
In addition, directions to the ceremony should be included on a separate piece of paper for those not familiar with the location. A phone number should also be included in case they need assistance while en route.
Finally, mail your invitations early so people who live far away can make plans to attend. Sending them at least a month before the ceremony can ensure that everyone who can attend will.
Thank You's
When you order your invitations, don't forget to order thank-you cards. Many people will send graduation cards and gifts at the time of your graduation. It is always appropriate to thank people for the gifts they have sent.
High school graduation invitations are no longer just simple black and white affairs. They can be classic or modern and in some cases, very colorful. Options include flat invitations, folded and 3-D. Future graduates may even include their favorite photos on the invitations and small charms. Order your invitations early for the best selection and price on your favorite designs. |

| Summer Activities for Teenagers |
Just what kind of summer activities for teenagers are available? There are actually numerous opportunities for teens to involve themselves during summer break. Many of these activities will get teenagers off the streets and involved in something that could benefit them not only now but also in the future. As teens make contact with others, whether it is through volunteer efforts, part-time jobs, or organized sports, they build references that can be used throughout their academic years and even in their future careers.
* Jobs-Sure the economy makes it more difficult for kids to procure jobs, but innovative teens can find ways to make money. Encourage your teen to look around your neighborhood. Does your elderly neighbor need help in her yard? Could your child mow the grass, clean out gutters, paint trim, or walk the dog? How about becoming a personal shopper and shopping for groceries for a homebound person? Can your teen type? Let your child advertise in your local paper asking for work, such as typing documents, research papers, etc. for so much per page. Talk to your child about starting a car wash business. He or she and several of his or her friends could do this all summer long!
* Summer theater-Most towns have a summer theater program, and if your teenager has an interest in the arts, this may be the perfect activity for him or her. Watch your local entertainment section of the newspaper for auditions, or if he likes working behind the scenes, he might consider volunteering as a stagehand.
* Social clubs-Many areas have social clubs, and for teens who like this type of environment, there are plenty of opportunities. Most social clubs do a variety of volunteering, and they also plan lots of fun activities.
* Summer recreation programs-Whether your child wants to get involved in sports or she likes the idea of learning a new craft or hobby, your recreation department may offer a host of activities in which she can participate. Many of these will be free or nearly free!
* Camps-If your teen thinks he is too old to enjoy attending a camp, think again! Instead of being one of the participants, however, why not encourage him to be a camp counselor?
* Volunteering-If you and your teen aren't sure where to look for volunteer opportunities, your local United Way is a great place to start. You can also look in your local newspaper for listings of volunteering opportunities.
* Summer adventures-Still searching for something to occupy your teenager
? Why not plan a whitewater rafting trip, hiking adventure, or some other outdoor activity with a group of friends and a few adults?

| What Makes a Good Friend: What it Takes |
What Makes a Good Friend: What It Takes
When you think of a good friend, what do you think about? Chances are, you think of someone who is nice and supportive to you. While these are key characteristics of what makes a good friend, there is much more to it.
Respectful At All Times
A friend is someone who will respect you to your face and when you aren't around. If someone else talks about you, your good friend will stick up for you and never join in on the taunting. Sometimes it's hard to know if the person is defending you because he or she may never tell you that someone else was talking bad about you so your feelings won't get hurt (another attribute of a good friend).
Wants Your Best Interest
People who pressure you to do things that you don't want to do and are bad for you are not good friends. Someone who cares about you will only want your best interest and will never make you do something that might harm you.
Accepts You for Who You Are
Someone who tries to change you isn't really interested in being with you but with someone he or she can mold. This person is not someone you want to be close to or around for very long. You should be able to feel free to be who you are and not feel judged by your friends.
Supportive When Needed
Adolescence is a difficult time and you need people by your side that will help you through it. A good friend will listen to your thoughts and show you that you are not alone. He or she will also step up and help you with whatever you need as long as it's not against his or her parent's rules.
Won't Use You for Own Benefit
Some friends will only act like good ones to get something from you – your boyfriend/girlfriend, study help, etc. You know if you have a good friend if it seems as though the person isn't looking to get something out of the friendship other than being in your company.
Compromises When Hanging Out
You don't always have to do what your friend wants to do, both of you should take turns and compromise on something you both enjoy doing. If the person refuses to do something you like to do even though you have done your fair share of things he or she likes, you may want to reconsider hanging out and being friends with him or her in the future.
Keeps Your Secrets
Trust is one of the most important qualities of a good friend and it's developed by keeping secrets. You should feel confident that when you tell the person something in confidence that he or she won't go around school blabbing it to everyone. However, keep in mind, if you have a secret that is harmful to you, someone who has your best interest at heart will tell a trusted adult about your secret so you can get some help. While you may think this isn't the right thing to do, it is because a good friend always wants to make sure you are safe.
A Friend Can't Be Good All the Time
People make mistakes and that means that a friend can't be a good one all the time. When deciding if someone is a good friend, he or she should possess the above characteristics most of the time.
